SALT LAKE CITY — Juvo Ventures, the venture capital arm of WGU, has appointed Tara Rosander as Managing Director. In this role, Rosander will lead Juvo’s investment strategy and operations, reporting directly to WGU President Scott Pulsipher.
“Tara brings a valuable combination of venture capital and tech innovation experience to this role,” Pulsipher said. “I am confident that her knowledge across those sectors and commitment to advancing economic mobility will accelerate Juvo’s impact on innovative solutions that connect talent to opportunity.”
Rosander joins Juvo from the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development, where she served as Deputy Commissioner and Chief Operating Officer. She has extensive experience building, operating and investing in early- to growth-stage companies across business sectors. With expertise in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate development, she has provided strategic guidance to many of Utah’s leading founders and funds, helping accelerate their growth.
Additionally, Rosander is an active leader in Utah’s tech and innovation ecosystem. She previously chaired the Nucleus Fund Investment Committee, focusing on deep-tech ventures emerging from the state’s colleges and research institutions. She also serves on the Women Tech Council’s Board of Directors.
Zane Busteed, who served as interim leader during this transition, will continue in his role as Principal, working closely with Rosander to advance the fund’s investing and operations.
